The Man Who Couldn't Be Killed
Accused of being a counter-revolutionary because he talked about his friend Jesus, Mr. Wong was sentenced to twenty years in a hard-labor camp. An unforgettable true story of faith and miraculous deliverance in Communist China at the height of the Cultural Revolution. Mr. Wong's unflinching courage for the Savior and the miracles that saved his life will inspire you to believe in a God who is greater than any problem or circumstance.

Review & Herald

Published 1941

Sometime nicknamed the "Rainbow Set" because of the colors of the volumes: red, orange, green, yellow, blue, brown. This 5 book set contains all the stories that later appeared in the 1950s 6 volume set and the 1960s 20 volume set. This vintage set of Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories by Arthur Stanley Maxwell is illustrated with some photos from the author's family as well as other pictures typical to the period. Have fun looking for pictures of his younger son and daughter, Diedre. And others of the twins. Then, too, there are pictures of his eldest son and maybe one or two of his eldest daughter. Originally the 20 volumes were printed in paperback form in the 1920s, then bound in hardcover in this five-book set in the 30s and 40s.
